1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters website (“Site”) or booking a charter through our services (“Service”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

2. Services Provided

Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters offers guided fishing trips on Lake Wylie, including information about our captain, boat, and target fish species. Services may include online booking and payment options. All trips are subject to availability and weather conditions.

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made online or directly with Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters.

  • A deposit may be required to secure your reservation.

  • Full payment is due before or on the day of your scheduled trip unless otherwise agreed.

  • Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings will be honored at the agreed rate.

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change.

  • Customer Cancellations: Cancellations made 7 or more days before the trip will receive a full refund of any deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled charter may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations will be charged in full.

If you need to reschedule, we’ll make every effort to accommodate your request based on availability.

5. Weather and Safety

Your safety is our top priority.

  • The captain reserves the right to cancel or postpone a charter at any time due to unsafe weather or water conditions.

  • If the trip is canceled by the captain for safety reasons, customers will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

  • Decisions regarding weather and safety are at the sole discretion of the captain.

6. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

Fishing and boating involve inherent risks. By booking or participating in a charter, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

  • Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters, its owner, and crew are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property during your trip.

  • All participants must follow the captain’s safety instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in early termination of the trip without refund.

7. Age and Participation

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The captain reserves the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or anyone engaging in unsafe behavior. Absolutely no drugs are permitted on the boat for any reason.

8. Equipment and Catch

All standard fishing gear, tackle, and safety equipment are provided unless otherwise noted.

  • The handling and keeping of fish must comply with South Carolina fishing regulations.

  • Any intentional damage to provided equipment may result in additional charges.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, photos, and logos — is the property of Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters and may not be used or reproduced without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gills and Thrills Fishing Charters shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our Site or Services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes means you accept those updates.
